The first “Chinese Academy of Forestry Forestry Chemical Symposium”, in October 13, 1979 to twenty-one held in Nanjing. There were 148 representatives from 102 departments including scientific research, teaching, design, production, commerce, publicity and publication attended by leaders from 23 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in the country and 38 delegates attended the meeting. Among them the scientists and professors of the older generation; the middle-aged and young science and technology backbone with rich practical experience; and the leading cadres and managers who are enthusiastic about forest science and technology
