The Commentary on the Art of Pingtan, a series of works of art published by the elite proletarian revolutionary Chen Yun and dedicated to the title by its predecessor, produced over 20 series recently, marking its contribution to the relatively poor theory of folk art. Pingtan Art was founded in 1982 and is a non-periodical publication that publishes and collects research papers and historical articles on Suzhou dialect and Suzhou storytelling.
