According to U.S. export business data, in the first half of this year, 52% of U.S. exports were contributed by small companies with less than 60 employees, while only 10% of their exports come from large companies with more than 500 employees. In this sense, the myth of “becoming bigger and stronger” has been broken, and a “small and strong” economic era is coming. However, the “downsizing and efficiency enhancement” campaign in the U.S. business community, especially in the service sector, is in the ascendant. U.S. economists call it “weight loss.” However, many experts point out that the “thoughtless” weight loss not only undermines the corporate image but also hints at employee morale and may not necessarily increase productivity. So how do American companies avoid “sequelae of weight loss”?
