广西南宁雷氏家族,为古代南宁的一大望族。据《雷氏族谱》载:先世袓籍山东益都县东门集。先祖雷大据,是宋代名将狄青南征侬智高时的部将,于广西昆仑关克敌有功,授任邕州都指挥使,镇守邕州,后移横州。雷家后裔在桂南生息繁衍,所操语言称“平话”。现在桂南数县的雷氏宗亲说起渊源,大多说是邕州亭子、津头人。雷氏家族名流雅士灿若群星,清代雷家有4位文武进士金榜题名,历朝进士举人数以百计;近代雷殷官居中华民国内政部次长,近百年来各界英才辈出。津头雷家大院,百年历史沧桑。邕江北岸的南宁津头街,现有雷经天故居、雷沛鸿故居,为两幢四进三井的清代民居式建筑。
