寄妙的粉末很早以前,人们就渴望着能制得某种化学物质,可以方便地把海水变为淡水,来解决远航海船和孤岛上人们的饮水问题。这个愿望直到本世纪,才得到了初步实现。现在我们将一杯海水通过一根玻璃管,管内装有小米粒状的化学物质,就可以得到可口的淡水。这种化学物质就是离子交换剂。离子交换剂不仅可以用来淡化海水,而且还可以用来分离溶液中的金属,合成化学药品,去除产品中的杂质,提纯抗生素和维生素;在农业上,可以用它来改良土壤,提高产量;等等。那么,什么是离子交换剂,为什么它能具有这样奇妙的性质,它是由什么东西构成的呢?离子交换剂
