最近一个时期以来,中央反复强调加强党同人民群众的联系,不久前召开的十三届六中全会又就这一问题通过了重要决定。在这种情况下,新闻工作者怎样更好地发挥作为党和政府联系群众的桥梁和纽带的作用?怎样实现沟通,促使上下感情一致、利益一致、意志一致、目标一致?怎样贯彻和执行党中央的这一重要决定?怎样认认真真地了解和反映普通老百姓的意见?这些问题都是很重要的。它们牵涉到记者的思想、工作作风等一系列问题,也牵涉到记者深入基层以后,怎样才能做到真正深入群众、深入调查研究实际的问题。就这些问题,本刊记者于3月17日采访了新华社社长穆青同志。
Since the recent period, the Central Committee has repeatedly stressed the importance of strengthening the party’s ties with the masses. The 6th Plenary Session of the 13th CPC Central Committee recently passed another important decision on this issue. Under such circumstances, how can journalists better serve as a bridge and link between the party and the government in connecting with the masses? How can communication be promoted so as to bring about co-ordination in the interests of both sides, with the same interests, with the same will and with the same goal? What are the important decisions of the central government and how to seriously understand and reflect the opinions of ordinary people? All these questions are very important. They involve a series of issues such as journalists’ thinking and work style. They also involve how journalists can truly go to the masses and conduct in-depth investigation and study of practical problems after they have gone deep into grassroots units. On these issues, our correspondents interviewed Comrade Mu Qing, president of Xinhua News Agency, on March 17.
