The artistic achievements of Wang Wei’s landscape poems are first expressed as “paintings in poems.” Wang Wei is an outstanding poet and a brilliant painter. He claims to be a “hospitalist and a former painter.” His landscape poems have both the virtues of poetry and painting. He uses painting skills to enter poetry and achieves the effect of “vigorous and vivid”. “Location of operation” is one of the six methods of ancient painting, that is, layout. Some of Wang Wei’s poems show rich poetic features through this point. Like his poem “Zhongnanshan”, it depicts the majestic scenery of mountains and rivers. It looks like a piece of independence.
