Writing is a system of writing symbols that records the language. Therefore, Chinese characters are writing symbologies that record Chinese. The particularity of Chinese characters makes the teaching of Chinese as a second foreign language teaching progress slowly in this section of Chinese character teaching. Rather than recording morphemes, dozens of phonemes, and hundreds of syllables in dozens of letters, Chinese characters use tens of thousands of symbols to express the meaning of morphemes or words while incidentally expressing the sound of the morphemes, Hard to remember, hard to read, hard to recognize, difficult to learn, hard to write. Based on the analysis of the status quo of the classification of Chinese strokes, this paper attempts to explore a classification of strokes that is convenient for teachers to teach in the early days of Chinese characters and is conducive to students’ perception, memorization and writing of Chinese characters.
