In the summer of 1985, I attended the “Horizon Arts Festival” literary readings and seminars in West Berlin. At the beginning of the event, the President announced that there is now a well-known Japanese old writer who is sitting on a train with his wife through Siberia and the Ural to Europe for “Horizon” activities. On the morning of the event, my Chinese colleague and I were just going to visit somewhere as planned. The Secretary General of the Festival, Mr. Seagal, approached me urgently and said that it was an old Japanese writer who immediately held his work , A German translation of his work was read out by the Swiss writer Dylan Matt, hoping I could attend this reading session. I asked the name of the Japanese writer, Mr. Higeroy for a long time and I do not understand. But I still went to politeness. Into the venue into the other, I was pleasantly surprised to find that he is Mr. Inoue.
