朱文皓同志1958年毕业于海南医专,适逢马海德博士率“中央皮肤性病防治队”来海南开展麻风性病防治,便报名参加。当时人们极力反对:“社会上歧视麻风,干麻风被人瞧小起,你何必舍近求远到穷乡僻壤去受苦呢?”她还是毅然报名参加了。现在她为自己成了海南第一代麻风防治的女医生而感到自豪! 一开始她就随马大夫辗转于五指山,普查普治麻风和性病,那里道路崎岖,闭塞落后,满地是牛车和牛粪。忙了一天晚上只能睡地铺,工作异常艰苦。当胜利完成任务后,她得了98分。
