近年来,中山图书馆坚持党的“一个中心、两个基本点”的基本路线,贯彻“两为”方针,发挥图书馆在改革开放中的作用,努力加强科学管理,不断完善图书馆业务工作的运行机制,在普及文化科学知识和传递科技信息方面,突破传统模式,延伸图书馆的社会职能,参与社会大文化,运用公共关系,努力吸引读者,服务读者,为建设文明图书馆进行了有益的探索,力图以“对象求广,态度求诚,项目求新,措施求细,效果求实”的要求,开展工作,不断开创新局面,取得了较好的社会效益。
