The Lincoln field is one of many important oilfields associated with the Frio-Vicksburg monoclinic folds, the Frio-Vicksburg monoclinic folds being parallel to the Saxon-Fan fault system and on its descent wing. The anticline structure of the fault system and its descending wing extends 240 miles east of the city of Texel to the north east and disappears in the city of Texas Jackson.
