记者近日获悉,停产近一个月的北京现代工厂改造工程已经完成并恢复生产。改造后,北京现代的年生产能力达到30万辆整车和30万台发动机,对于成立不到三年并取得飞速发展的北京现代,产能的迅速扩张再次向人们显示出其在中国汽车市场的壮志雄心。“内功”的再升级需要良好的市场环境和企业强大的综合实力作为后盾。对于在去年四月份才实现15万辆年生产能力的北京现代,依靠索纳塔和伊兰特良好的市场表现实现了当年14.4万辆的销售业绩。今年的前4个月,北京现代更是青云直上,连连占据销售冠军的宝座,唯一的烦恼就是产能的限制。对于在如此畅销的情况下停产改造,北京现代董事长徐和谊有自己的想法:“北京现代永远把客户的需求放在首位,受产能的限制,目前市场上出现了北京现代有市无车的现象,顾客不能及时提上车,这是我们的大忌。”前4个月平均月销售超过2万辆,对比之下月产能只有12500辆的确显得捉襟见肘。即使停产暂时不能供货,但北京现代“长痛不如短痛”。北京现代给人的感觉是注重实效。其实,北京现代这次庞大的改造工程也不仅仅是为提高产能。主管生产的副总经理李继凯说,本次改造北京现代做了三件事:一是生产能力的提升,二是提升了我们对产品品质的把控能力,同时我们还为今明两年推出的新车型作了大量的准备工作。
