一、概述智能网(Intelligent Network)是指带有智能的电话网或综合业务数字网。它与人全数字电话网两者同为当前电话网的发展方向。传统的电话网中,在采用间接控制的机电式自动电话交换机以后,也是具有一定智能的。它表现为交换机的公共控制功能及译码功能,具有在直达路由遇忙时,选择各种迂回路由的网络功能。当电话网中采用程控电话交换机以后,它所具有的智能就更多了。它除了具有比间接控制机电式交换机更为广泛及完善的公共控制及译码功能外,还具有诸如缩位拔号、呼叫转移等多种新业务功能。但单纯由程控交换机作为交换节点构成的电话网还不是智能网。
