民国江苏省会这段历史,是镇江历史的重要组成部分,虽时间不长,却是镇江向近现代转型的关键时期。本文通过梳理镇江在民国省会期间城市规划、建设史料,明晰镇江城市在该时期的发展历程,有助于世人了解镇江如何从鸦片战争后开埠的县城发展成为现代行政省会城市。整理总结这段历史,探究其文化脉络传承,将有益于当代历史文化名城保护和现代化建设。
The history of the Jiangsu provincial capital in the Republic of China was an important part of Zhenjiang’s history. Although it lasted for a short time, it was a crucial period for the transformation of Zhenjiang to modern times. This paper clarifies the development course of Zhenjiang city during this period by combing the city planning and construction materials of Zhenjiang during the period of the Republic of China, and helps the world know how Zhenjiang developed into a modern capital city from the county that opened its ports after the Opium War. To summarize this period of history and explore the inheritance of its cultural context will be beneficial to the protection and modernization of the famous historical and cultural cities.
