云冈石窟开凿于公元五世纪中期,至今已有1500多年的历史,与敦煌莫高窟、洛阳龙门石窟并称为中国三大石窟。1961年被国务院公布为第一批全国重点文物保护单位;2001年1月被国家旅游局评为4A级旅游景区;2001年12月,被联合国教科文组织世界遗产委员会列入《世界遗产》名录;
Yungang Grottoes were drilled in the middle of the 5th century AD and so far it has a history of more than 1500 years. It is also known as the Three Great Grottoes of China with the Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang and the Longmen Grottoes at Luoyang. 1961 by the State Council announced the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units; January 2001 by the National Tourism Administration as 4A-level tourist attractions; December 2001, by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee included in the “World Heritage” list ;
