Yersinia enterocolitica is a gut pathogen of global concern in recent years and widely distributed in nature. Because of its easy growth in low temperature environment, it is an important modern pathogen “refrigerator disease.” Food-borne diseases caused by Yersinia enterocolitica show a low-level distribution in Shanghai [1]. In May 2015, Yangpu District Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Shanghai detected one Yersinia enterocolitica from the surveillance foodstuffs.
