《科技文献检索与利用》(以下简称《文检》)课登上我国高等学府的大雅之堂,是在教育部(84)高教一字004号文件——“关于在高等学校开设《文献检索与利用》课的通知”下发之后。作为填补我国高等学校中一项空白的《文检》课,在高等学校,特别在工科高等学校,受到了广大师生的欢迎。仅以我校为例,给八一级本科生开出此课后,平均有50%以上的学生在无教材情况下,选修了此门课程,并以较好的成绩通过考核。有些教师和进修生也参加了这门课的学习。有些学生在考取研究生后,已开始应用自己所学的检索知识和技能了。但是,从实现《文检》课的宗旨出发,我们不能不考虑这样的问题:通过怎样的教与学,才能有效保证《文检》课的教学质量;通过怎样的教与学,才能使更多的学生对《文检》课发生浓厚的兴趣,学有所获。这正是本文探讨的出发点。
