A Triassic-Jurassic boundary section of Sanhuang Village of Jiyuan of Henan Province is studied. The boundary strata in this section are divided into several subfacies: semi-deep lake subfacies, shore-shallow lake subfacies, shallow lake subfacies, delta front subfacies, fore-delta subfacies, flood land subfacies and flood basin subfacies. 32 chemical elements in 43 samples are analyzed. The distribution and paragenetic relationships of these elements support the division of sedimentary subfacies made for this section.
