文章认为加强民族团结，维护祖国统一、保持经济和社会的稳定发展，促进各民族的共同繁荣，是邓小平民族理论的核心；贯彻落实民族区域自治制度，支持和帮助少数民族地区发展经济和科学文化事业，逐步消除各民族间事实上的不平等是邓小平民族理论的重要原则；先富帮后富，最后达到共同富裕是邓小平关于民族问题的根本立场和基本观点。
The article holds that strengthening ethnic unity, safeguarding the unity of the motherland, maintaining stable economic and social development and promoting common prosperity of all ethnic groups are the core of Deng Xiaoping’s theory of ethnic groups; implementing the system of regional ethnic autonomy, supporting and helping the development of economy and science and culture in ethnic minority areas Career and the gradual elimination of de facto inequality among different ethnic groups are the important principles of Deng Xiaoping’s theory of nationalities; first enriching the rich and helping the rich and finally achieving common prosperity is Deng Xiaoping’s fundamental position and basic point of view on ethnic issues.
