This article describes a microprocessor with rapid and simultaneous detection of sinusoidal signal amplitude and frequency. The method calculates the amplitude and frequency based on three values of the continuous sampled input signal. Its characteristic is to sample a part of the period of the signal under test, so the measurement time is the minimum. The sampling interval is automatically selected by the frequency range of the input signal.
