当人们谈论艺术表演时,具体谈论的是什么?透过近来出现的一波又一波的研讨会、杂志选题以及学术展览,表演形成了近乎传奇的话题场域。它集合了一些拥有共通之处的艺术实践,这种归类不是因为其共同点,而是源于它们所不具备的特性。也许是那种(迄今而言)相对标志性的边缘气质。各种难以集齐和分类的名号,都被纳入“表演”的范畴,与“全球性”这个词一样,“表演”也成为了当代艺术永远的超级容器。这也使得至少我们可以说,表演范畴内的各种实践差异极大。
When people talk about artistic performances, what are they talking about in detail? Through the recent wave of seminars, magazine topics and academic exhibitions and performances, they have become almost legendary topic areas. It brings together some art practices that share commonalities, not because of something in common, but because of what they do not have. Perhaps the kind of (to date) relatively landmark temperament. Various hard-to-class and well-known titles have been included in the category of “performance.” Like the word “global,” “performance” has become the ultimate container of contemporary art. It also makes at least we can say that the practice within the scope of performance vary greatly.
