Language is the carrier of culture. At the same time, any language in the world is rooted in its specific culture and reflects the specific culture. Numbers were originally counted only in a variety of languages Tools accompanied by the gradual development of human society, the history, religion and culture, the figures have been given more special cultural implications. A number may have very different meanings in the context of two different cultures. Therefore, when conducting international Chinese teaching, if we do not explore the deep meaning of numbers, we will face serious cultural conflicts and it is difficult to achieve the desired teaching effect. This article compares the meaning of “seven” in different cultures in Eastern and Western cultures and its implications for international Chinese teaching and intercultural communication.
