新闻标题的目的和作用,在于揭示新闻内核、评价新闻,表达作者和编者的立场、观点和意向。新闻标题是否简洁明了、醒目抓人,是衡量编辑新闻素养和综合能力的一个重要方面。要当一名合格的编辑,就要舍得在制作新闻标题上下功夫。刊登于2011年8月23日《前进报》一版头条的消息《墙上的星星会说话》这个标题,就体现了编辑良好的业务素养和综合素质。稿件见报后,在基层官兵中产生了较大反响。军区政治部首长在送审报样上批示:这条新闻抓得好,题目尤其生动传神。
