《一个青年艺术家的肖像》是爱尔兰著名作家詹姆斯.乔伊斯的代表作。作为二十世纪初现代主义文学倾向的代表人物,乔伊斯在其代表作中大胆突破传统,以时间、意识和技巧为其创作中心,利用各种现代创作技巧展示主人公斯蒂芬的现代精神气质,并从新的视角阐释了技巧的应用在主题阐述中的作用。本文旨在从小说整体布局的构建和小说创作形式与小说内容的相关性来探讨作品中表现手法与主题的关系。
“Portrait of a Young Artist” is a famous work of Irish writer James Joyce. As a representative of the modernist literature tendency in the early twentieth century, Joyce boldly breaks through the tradition in his masterpiece. With time, consciousness and skill as its creative center, Joyce uses various modern creative techniques to show the modern spirit of hero Stephen From a new perspective, we explain the role of the application of skills in the elaboration of the theme. The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between the expression technique and the theme in the novel from the construction of the overall layout of the novel and the correlation between the form of novel writing and the content of the novel.
