汉代画像石被誉为博大精深的汉代史诗,它生动地再现了当时的社会风貌,与木刻版画相比,两者都是传统艺术中独特的意象思维方式、艺术情感展现的抽象精神及透视法则的典型代表。汉代画像石虽然被埋没在了历史的风尘中,但木刻版画却数度兴盛并绵延至今,可以说在中国现代艺术中占有着重要地位。本文通过对两者共性题材的对比分析,试图挖掘出其中的精华之所在,以期对当今木刻艺术及创作性版画在现代文明境域下的争议歧迷有所启示。
