基础教育阶段英语课程的任务是激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略。在新课改背景下的中学英语教学中,教师要激发学生学习英语的兴趣,就必须转变教育思想,建立新型的平等互爱的师生关系,营造宽松和谐的课堂气氛;更新教学观念,改变教学方式,采用灵活多样的教学方法,激发学生的学习兴趣和求知欲;开展内容广泛、形式多样的英语课外活动等。
