公共交通国际联会(UITP)亚太委员会第8次会议于1998年7月21～24日在日本东京举行.亚太区域的公共交通国际联会成员单位代表80余人参加会议.会议由国际联会亚太委员会主席、香港地铁总裁苏泽光先生主持.公共交通国际联会主席Jean-Paul Bailly(法国巴黎RATP总裁)、现任主席外事顾问Pierre Laconte(原秘书长)、新任秘书长Hans Rat(欧盟交通经济委员会主席)等也专程从总部来东京参加会议并致词.《城市轨道交通研究》杂志社应邀组团参加了会议.会议的东道主为日本帝都高速交通营团等7家公共交通国际联会成员单位.
The 8th meeting of the Asia-Pacific Committee of the International Organization of the Transport in Transit (UITP) was held in Tokyo, Japan from July 21 to July 24, 1998. More than 80 representatives from member units of the International Federation of Public Transport in the Asia-Pacific Region attended the meeting and were convened by the International Federation of Asia- Chair of the Committee, Mr. So Chak Kwong, President of Hong Kong Subway Administration, Chairman Jean-Paul Bailly, President of the International Federation of Public Transport (Pierre Raconte, former President of the RATP, President of France), Hans Rat, ) Also made a special trip to Tokyo from the headquarters to attend the meeting and delivered a speech.Municipal Rail Transit Research magazine was invited to organize a delegation to attend the meeting.The meeting was hosted by the Japan Royal Parks and other high-speed traffic camp seven members of the International Federation of Public Transport units.
