《中共中央关于加强社会主义精神文明建设若干重要问题的决议》是我国新时期道德建设的纲领。从建设有中国特色社会主义事业的大局出发考察和把握道德建设是《决议》的突击特点。它的新贡献在于就社会主义道德建设的核心、原则、基本要求、主要领域以及努力方向第一次作了全面规定，并且提出了加强道德建设的新思路、新举措。
The “Resolution of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Several Important Issues concerning Strengthening the Construction of Socialist Spiritual Civilization” is the program of our country’s moral construction in the new period. Starting from the overall situation of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, investigating and grasping the moral construction is a surprise feature of the “resolution.” Its new contribution lies in the first comprehensive provision on the core, principle, basic requirements and major areas of efforts for the construction of socialist morality. It has also proposed new ideas and measures for strengthening moral construction.
