2009年9月,浦东在全国范围内征集“世博社区”标志,这一标志突出社区建设“以人为本”的理念,展示以“和谐社区,快乐生活”为主题的多彩的“世博社区”形象,主题明确,风格简洁,寓意深刻。经专家评审,江苏扬州藉人士雍自高设计的《笑脸》从众多的来稿中脱颖而出,被采用。2009年10月13日,世博倒计时200天活动时,上海市委常委、浦东新区区委书记徐麟亲自揭晓了这一标志,并宣布浦东新区“世博社区”建设正式启动。至此,浦东已有60余个“世博社区”示范点用上了《笑脸》标志。
