On the 14th of February, the Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture issued a notice (Lu Pesticide Word [2017] No. 1) to arrange the deployment of alleged pesticide production enterprises that were suspected of illegal pesticides to centralize and rectify their work. According to the report, during the 32nd China Plant Protection Information Exchange & Pesticides Trade Fair and the 22nd Shandong Plant Protection Information Exchange & Pesticide Trade Fair, the Shandong Provincial Institute of Pesticides organized law enforcement officers of some municipal pesticide management agencies to exhibit at exhibitors of pesticide companies. The publicity situation was examined and 35 companies were found to have violated the “Regulations on Pesticide Management” (see Table 1 for details).
