科学精神和人文精神是人类在生产实践过程中形成的两种思想观念和价值取向。并且这两种精神反作用于人类的生产实践,体现着人类对真善美的不懈追求。现当代西方的科学主义和人文主义,却人为地割裂了科学精神与人文精神,造成了人与自然、人与社会以及人与人的对立。这种割裂也在一定程度上阻碍了中国当代青年科学精神与人文精神的培养。当代青年是建设中国特色社会主义和谐社会的中坚力量,要使他们充分发挥自身的作用,必须同时注重培养其科学精神与人文精神,并注重两种精神的统一。
Scientific spirit and humanistic spirit are two kinds of ideas and values that human beings form in the process of production and practice. And these two kinds of spirits react to the production practice of mankind, which embodies the unremitting pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty. Contemporary Western scientificism and humanism, but artificially cut off the spirit of science and humanism, resulting in man and nature, man and society, and the antagonism between people. This fragmentation also hinders the cultivation of the scientific and humane spirit of the contemporary Chinese youth to a certain extent. The contemporary youth are the backbone of building a harmonious socialist society with Chinese characteristics. To enable them to give full play to their own role, we must at the same time pay attention to cultivating their scientific spirit and humane spirit and emphasizing the unification of the two spirits.
