CrossRef is launching a new free text consultation service for its member publishers. Working with Inera, CrossRef comes with a customized version of Inera’s eXtyles refXpress system that parses unstructured, free-text reference resources into granular, valid XML forms and returns digital representations of the objects that correspond to these references (DOIs). CrossRef welcomes its members to provide an assessment of the use of this service.
