The Kaiko Lake unconformity vein deposit in Canada was formally put into operation on October 3, 1983. In the trial production process, 750,000 pounds of U_3O_8 have been produced. There are three sources of uranium ore from the Kaihu deposit: the Gartner, Delman, and Kobelite ore bodies. The average grade of ore is 1.99% U, and the total reserves are 70,100 tons of uranium. The deposit is open-pit mining. The ore processing capacity of the hydrometallurgical plant is 700 tons/day. The annual output is about 5440 tons of uranium. The addition of uranium produced by the Kaihu deposit and other uranium mines in Canada will make Canada’s annual uranium output rank first in the capitalist world. It will also replace the Rosing mine in Namibia in 1984, becoming the most capitalist country.
