１９９５年棉盲蝽发生期间运用吡虫啉防治棉盲蝽（绿盲蝽和中黑盲蝽）。结果表明，在棉盲蝽１、２龄若虫高峰期，亩用吡虫啉有效成分１．５～２克喷雾，防效可达８５％左右，优于目前生产上应用的有机磷类的效果，持效期在１０天左右。
