本刊曾对中文域名注册做了跟踪报道。这之后,有50多万的中文域名在CNNIC进行了在线申请,有300多万个中文域名在NSI进行了注册,一时间,中文域名注册行动如火如荼。然而,紧接着,从北京市工商行政管理局传来消息说,他们不承认中文域名作为一种知识产权所享有的各种权利,也不对中文域名所涉及的各种权利进行任何保护。这个信息无疑给兴奋的中文域名注册用户泼了一盆冷水。
This publication has made a tracking report on the Chinese domain name registration. Since then, more than 500,000 Chinese domain names have been applied online at CNNIC. Over 3 million Chinese domain names have been registered with NSI. For a time, Chinese domain name registration activities are in full swing. However, shortly afterwards, it came from Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce that they did not recognize the various rights enjoyed by Chinese domain names as an intellectual property nor did they provide any protection for the various rights involved in Chinese domain names. This information is undoubtedly to the excitement of the Chinese domain name registered users spilled a pot of cold water.
