海军武器装备美国目前美国海军正在重点研制V-22“鱼鹰”直升机和AAAV先进的两栖突击车。这两种装备均是两栖作战的主力装备。V-22直升机的巡航速度达250节,载荷4536公斤,作战半径400海里。该两栖突击车将代替目前的AAV7A1式。它可在距巨海岸85海里处投入战斗,水上速度为25节,地面机动性可与M1A1坦克相比。装甲防护能力也相当好。另外,新型的L(X)两栖攻击舰将取代LPD4“奥斯汀”级两栖运输坞舰、“新港”级坦克登陆舰、“查尔斯顿”级两栖货船和LSD36“安克雷奇”级登陆坞舰。
