The driving simulation system based on virtual reality technology has many advantages in the safety and repeatability of the experimental environment, so it can be widely used in road traffic safety research and driver training. Generally, experienced pilots are usually more capable than inexperienced pilots in dealing with dangerous situations. Therefore, the study screened five important dangerous situations through focus groups and questionnaires, and developed a virtual environment containing 15 scenarios In the self-developed fixed-base driving simulator on the old and new drivers of the 16 people were tested. The system automatically records and analyzes the driver’s speed, braking and steering information when dealing with a dangerous situation. The results show that the number of experienced drivers is far less than the number of new drivers, the speed is slower and the driving is safer. This study provides a reference for the application of virtual reality technology in new driver training programs and the development of danger warning devices.
