Gentamicin (Gm) is the most effective antibiotic against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but recently the resistant strains have been increasing. Many reports show that this resistance is often carried by plasmids. And resistance to Gm, often followed by resistance to other aminoglycoside antibiotics.
