江泽民总书记“5.31”重要讲话,提出“三个代表”重要思想的核心是保持党的先进性。为了保持党的先进性,“我们党要始终成为中国工人阶级的先锋队,同时成为中国人民和中华民族的先锋队”。这一论断,是对中国共产党性质所作的科学概括,它丰富和发展了马克思主义建党学说。深刻领会和正确把握“党的先进性”和“两个先锋队”的科学内涵与相互关系的精神实质,对于我们贯彻执行“三个代表”重要思想,全面加强党的建设,永葆党的先进性和纯洁性,不断提高党的凝聚力、战斗力和号召力,具有重大而深远的意义。
General Secretary Jiang Zemin’s keynote address “5.31” put forward that the core of the important thinking of the “three represents” is to maintain the advanced nature of the party. In order to maintain the advanced nature of the party, “our party must always be the vanguard of the Chinese working class and the vanguard of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation.” This thesis is a scientific summary of the nature of the Chinese Communist Party.
