唱片业普遍不景气,就算是在亚洲流行乐坛呼风唤雨的五大唱片公司也将面临前所未有的挑战。先是百代唱片公司内部大地震,紧接着是博德曼唱片公司从歌手到员工人事大变动,又有华纳唱片公司大举裁员,事隔不久新力唱片公司高层离职,现在又是宝丽金唱片公司旗下歌手纷纷离去。相比之下,港台的本土唱片公司滚石却笑看风云,也是唯一一间平稳中求生存的公司了,就连五大唱片公司与之相比也显得黯然失色了。
