1938年11月,中共中央设立南方局,周恩来任书记,全面地领导了以重庆为中心的南方及西南地区国民党统治区的统战工作。在周恩来的直接领导下,南方局创造性地贯彻执行了中共中央制定的抗日民族统一战线中争取中间势力的政策,取得了巨大成绩。
In November 1938, the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party established the South Bureau and Zhou Enlai as secretary, which comprehensively led the united front work of the Kuomintang-ruled areas in the south and southwest regions centered on Chongqing. Under the direct leadership of Zhou Enlai, the South Bureau creatively implemented the policy of winning the middle power in the anti-Japanese national united front formulated by the CPC Central Committee and achieved tremendous achievements.
