Five different mutagenic in vivo tests were performed on 80% crude protein products (SCPs) obtained from the cultivation of methyl oxidizing bacteria using a methanol substrate using different mammalian test systems. All the experimental results did not reveal any evidence of single-cell protein mutagenesis. (I) Dominant lethality test: The authors tested mice in two doses (12.5, 25% SCP).
