根据切屑的形成过程,概述了四种断屑方法:①改变材料的机械性能,以适应断屑需要;②利用切屑变形折断获得断屑;③采用专门断屑装置断屑;④利用不连续进给的方法断屑。着重研究了利用切屑变形折断方法。根据弹塑性理论,提出了断屑条件公式N(?)1/R·(hv_1~2)/(σ_s~(1-K)(?)~(1/(k+2))>δ公式的结果说明,切削用量,被切材料的机械性能,断屑方法及其有关刀具参数对断屑性能的影响,探索出一些规律。通过实验,验证了这些规律。实验结果给利用切屑变形断屑办法提供了各种数据。
