As a classic representative of British female Gothic literature in the 20th century, Daphne Du Morière’s novel Lu Bei-card has been regarded as a romance novel of modern popular women for a long time. This article intends to review the classic of modern feminine literature from the perspective of contemporary feminist criticism of female Gothic literature. After investigating the relationship between different characters in the novel, especially the special relations between the two heroines, the article points out that the novel Lu Bei Card reveals the difference between men and women under the appearance of a traditional love story Control and anti-control. The novel criticizes the patriarchal society for its efforts to control the individual development of women. At the same time, the novel emphasizes feminine instincts without compromise and requires the gradual realization of patriarchal control and the gradual realization of self-transcendence on the basis of the awakening of the main body of women process.
