Indeed, serious is too important. In the war years, serious means to achieve greater victory, pay a smaller sacrifice. The famous battle of Meng Liangtao during the War of Liberation was conducted under the specific command of General Su Yu. At the end of the battle, all units reported the victory and defeat. So he ordered all the troops to carry out a rigorous search, and finally found a hidden refugee in a ravine and wiped out all of them. Here, Comrade Su Yu’s earnestness is precious, but what is more valuable is the conscientiousness of the commanders of the various units. They seek truth from facts and do not exaggerate their record of fighting for their merits, thus providing a guarantee for the superior commanders to make correct judgments and determination. It is this precious and serious spirit that brings us to war
