林镛是中国岭南画派第三代最有代表性的画家。1942年出生,广东潮州人。1966年毕业于广州美术学院中国画系。曾仼中国美术家协会副主席,广东省美术家协会主席、广东省书画院院长。岭南画派始于晚清时期,被誉为开山鼻祖的岭南三杰,高剑父、高奇峰,陈树人,堪称第一代。被誉为四大家的赵少昂、杨善深,黎雄才、关山月,是第二代。林镛、杨之光、伍启中、林风俗、方楚雄、周彦生等无疑是第三代的代表画家。其水墨作品继往开来,无论题材,
Lin Kui is the third generation of Chinese Lingnan School the most representative painter. Born in 1942, Chaozhou, Guangdong. 1966 graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts Department of Chinese painting.
