In August 2012, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published an essay titled “Beta-Carotene in Golden Rice” as Effective as β-Carotene in Oil Capsules for Vitamin A Supplementation in Children, The main authors of this paper are Tang Guangwen from Tufts University, Hu Yuming from Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Yin Yin from Nutrition and Food Safety Institute of China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Wang Yin from Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences. Subsequently, the Chinese Ministry of Health and relevant departments in Zhejiang Province and Hunan Province insisted that China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Zhejiang Province Academy of Medical Sciences and Disease Prevention in Hunan Province
