塔里木盆地三叠系和侏罗系包含4个性质不同的陆相盆地。除早三叠世和晚侏罗世存在短暂的海泛之外,发育内陆湖泊及受其影响的陆相沉积,受构造影响明显,扇三角洲特别发育。库车盆地及塔北 塔中盆地湖域大小差别不大,但湖域位置有较大的变迁。塔西南和塔东南盆地的湖域大小变化很大,三叠纪湖盆较小且分布不连续;侏罗纪湖域扩大,且分别在塔东南和塔西南连片。
Triassic and Jurassic in the Tarim Basin contain four continental basins with different characteristics. In addition to the brief sea fauna in the Early Triassic and Late Jurassic, the development of inland lakes and the continental sediments affected by them is obviously influenced by tectonics and the fan delta is particularly developed. There is not much difference in the size of the lake basin between the Kuqa Basin and Tarim Basin, but there is a big change in the lake area. The size of the lake basin varies greatly between the southwestern Tarim Basin and the southwestern Tarim Basin. The Triassic lake basin is small and discontinuous in distribution. The Jurassic lacustrine basin expands and is contiguous with the southeastern and southwestern Taos.
