法国的大作家雨果曾经说过“开启人类智慧宝库的有三把钥匙:一把是数学、一把是字母、一把是音符”音乐教育作为素质教育的重要组成部分对陶冶当代大学生的情操和审美情趣,提高当代大学生的综合能力和竞争能力,促进大学生成才有着不可替代的重要作用,目前我国的教育也面临这各种问题,我国大学生的音乐素质普遍偏低,高校对素质教育不够重视,主要强调的是专业教育,对音乐素质教育缺乏认识,导致大学生音乐素质教育在短时间内很难得到提升,严重制约和影响高校培养全面发展高素质的人才。因此,如何针对当前的现状加强大学生的音乐素质教育,全面提升雪生的综合素质,培养全面发展高素质的人才,成为我国高校教育的一项重大课题。
